Meet Our Staff

Ozella J. Foster
Born in Augusta Arkansas to Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Ellis Foster, our family moved to St. Louis Missouri in 1954. Raised in the Historical DeVille community by our father, my elder sisters and brothers, neighbors and schoolteachers, I am a proud product of the St. Louis Public School System. Educated at Bates Elementary School and Vashon High School, I chose to further pursue my education through O’Fallon Technical High school and obtained my license as a Practical Nurse from the State of Missouri.
My career in nursing had given me true compassion for helping those who were hurting and grieving the loss of a loved one. In 1982, I chose to take that commitment a step further and began working for my brother, Rev. Dr. Theodore “Ted” Foster, Sr., President of Ted Foster and Sons Funeral Homes, Inc.
I would go on to serve under his leadership and guidance for over twenty-six years as a Licensed Funeral Director and Registered Preneed Agent. To best serve my clients I continued my education, securing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Fontbonne University of Clayton, MO. My resume includes past ownership of Midwest Prearranged Services, LLC., and certified Preneed Consultant. A vetted Board Member with Missouri Funeral Trust, Inc., a member of Missouri Funeral Directors and Embalmers Association, State of Missouri, National Funeral Director and Mortician Association.
In 2008, taking a big leap of faith, Foster’ Services for Funerals, LLC was formed. It would soon become Ozella J. Foster’s Funeral Services. Our family sincerely thank the St. Louis communities for the years of love, trust, support and commitment to the Foster Legacy.
October 2024, with over forty years of experience in the profession; fifteen in ownership, God has blessed me and my children with our newly built state of the art, full-service funeral establishment back in the Historical DeVille Neighborhood.
It is truly an honor and privilege to be positioned to serve the families of our communities across the State of Missouri and Illinois. We are committed to providing professionalism, honesty, kindness, compassion and integrity throughout the funeral service process. For we have experienced personal losses that allow us better to understand the families we serve. Along with our core ethics and values, our philosophy will always be to take pride in the service we provide to every family during the process of their loved one’s life celebration.
